Why Connect?

Connecting your Twitch account allows ChatMate to:

• Attempt to send scheduled messages to your specified channels.
• Use the Smart Responder to generate answers (sending them requires further integration).
• Attempt to send messages directly to live stream chats.
• Auto Greeter and Moderator features require more advanced integration.

ChatMate requires your Twitch channel name and an OAuth key (starting with oauth:) with chat:read and chat:edit scopes. These are stored securely in your browser's local storage and are not sent to any server other than potentially Twitch (if full chat integration were implemented). ChatMate does not store your Twitch password.

Security Reminder: Ensure you are on a trusted computer when entering your auth key. Regenerate your key on Twitch if you suspect it has been compromised. Get your OAuth key from a trusted token generator.
